President Trump took the oath of office at noon Monday, and within hours he had signed dozens of executive orders and issued nearly 1,600 pardons as he quickly sought to remake the federal government and test the limits of his authority.
💯
His actions touched on some of the biggest policy issues in American life, from health to the environment to immigration, and he promised other consequential changes in the coming days.
🌎️
Here are the most significant moves the president made on Day 1.
👀

He pardoned nearly all the rioters who stormed the Capitol on January 6th.
🤯
Trump issued a sweeping grant of clemency to all of the nearly 1,600 people charged in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, issuing pardons to most of the defendants and commuting the sentences of 14 members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers militia, most of whom were convicted of seditious conspiracy. The pardon order also directed the Justice Department to dismiss any pending indictments against people facing charges for the riot.
🤔
Do you think every single person should be getting a full pardon?

Meanwhile the police office that was tazered by the people storming the capital is scared they will come back for him now that they are released without a restraining order or any other conditions. according to ABC.

He withdrew from the World Health Organization.
Trump moved to withdraw from the World Health Organization, an act that had been foreshadowed by the presidents frequent attacks against the World Health Organization over its approach to the coronavirus pandemic. Public “health experts” say that “the withdrawal will undermine America’s standing as a global health leader and make it harder to fight the next pandemic”.
🙄
WITHDRAWING THE UNITED STATES FROM THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
😷
Section 1. Purpose. “The United States noticed its withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020 due to the organization’s mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic that arose out of Wuhan, China, and other global health crises, its failure to adopt urgently needed reforms, and its inability to demonstrate independence from the inappropriate political influence of WHO member states. In addition, the WHO continues to demand unfairly onerous payments from the United States, far out of proportion with other countries’ assessed payments. China, with a population of 1.4 billion, has 300 percent of the population of the United States, yet contributes nearly 90 percent less to the WHO.”

Sec. 2. Policy. “It is the policy of the United States to faithfully execute the immigration laws against all inadmissible and removable aliens, particularly those aliens who threaten the safety or security of the American people. Further, it is the policy of the United States to achieve the total and efficient enforcement of those laws, including through lawful incentives and detention capabilities.”
